Rochester Psychiatric Hospital

The Rochester Psychiatric Center got it's starts back in the 1820's as a poor house. It became Rochester State Hospital in 1890. There are a few buildings that make up the psychiatric center, but the biggest is the Terrence building, added in the 1950's.

The Terrence building is anywhere from 14-17 stories tall, depending on how you look at it. There's an article about a former patient who escaped and stabbed a little girl with a hypodermic needle, which can be found here.

There are Verizon antennas on the roof, which were in use up until 2003.

Here's the link to see the building on windows live local, a 3d satellite imaging website.

Anyways, there's way too many pictures for just one page, so the following pages are filled with pictures from the Terrence Building.
