Coast Guard Station

Cleveland's Coast Guard station was built in 1940 by architect J. Milton Dyer. It includes a 60 foot lookout tower providing explorers with an excellent view of Lake Erie.

The Coast Guard left the station in the early 1970's, and was left abandoned for over a decade. Then, in 1984 it was purchased by Jacobs Investments, who renovated the station and turned it into a restaurant and night club.

Business wasn't good in the mid 1980's, so after one season Jacobs had to close down the nightclub and restaurant. It's been abandoned ever since.
